Rolland375 Ruger action size
What size is suitable for the 375R? I have not found a magnum action yet for a 375 H&H I wanted to build but do have a 30-06 size Charles Daly action I could use if it would accept the cartridge.
I did a search here but did not find any reference to the measurements of the round.

jeffeossoit is the same diameter (largest) as the belt of the HH cases, and the same length as a 300 win, 3.34-3.35.
i am doing two dalys into AR rounds, and they work fine
in other words, any standard length action, but a commerical standard length, mag boltface and width, action will do

vapodogThe 30-06 Daly action will make you a 375 ruger but I'd trade it for almost any 7mm Rem mag or 300 win mag as a donor especially if the trade was for a complete rifle with a usable stock.

SD ShooterRolland,
I am having a Husqvarna action changed to the 375 Ruger. I was going to use a 30-06 with a bad bore, but my gunsmith suggested that I might look at changing a 7mm Mag or 300 Win Mag so that the magazine would accommodate three shells, rather than the smaller capacity on the 30-06 action. So I went and bought a box of the 375 Ruger 300 gr. to experiment with. I found that the 375 works perfectly in the magnum action, AND the magnum bolt face fits perfectly. So now we only have to change the barrel. We do not have to make any other modifications regarding magazine or bolt face.
My suggestion is to look for a magnum action to make the conversion.
My barrel has been ordered as well as the reamer. It will take several months to get it all done, but I'm not in a hurry.
Best of luck with your project.

RollandThanks for the information, guess I will save the CD action for a 35 Whelen and look for a Mag action.
