Winchester Featherweight-Bipods

Just set up a new old stock Win Featherweight in 22-250 and the new Harris Bipods hit the barrel when in the closed position. You know how much taper there is in the stock forend. How would you guys remedy this?

throw away the bipod - at least that's what i'd do cause i don't like the brush catchers

I couldn't agree with you more Butch! Rifle is not mine though. I never shot as well with bipods either. I do like buffalo sticks though.

Doesn't a bipod conflict with a featherweight rifle? I'm with the above toss the bipod, but in all fairness I'm a bipod fan..I get by without one pretty well.
