BobsterThere is no collector value since it has been sportered. It's now worth what someone will pay for the complete action; probably around $120.

Nomo4meIsn't Erfurt a small ring large thread action?
I stocked one in a .280 but didn't have much confidence in it. Certainly wouldn't use it for a mag

airgun1If it has Kar 98 on the left rail it is a small ring 98 with largew ring thread. They are nice but not the best choice for a heavy use gun.
If it has Gew 98 on the left rail it is a standard Large Ring 98 and as good as any pre 1935 action that mauser made, meaning it may be good or may be a little soft, same with the Kar.

Fal Grunt http://forums.accuratereloadin...181017931#2181017931If it is a KAR 98, read this thread. Some good information.
As stated, not adequate for larger caliber chamberings.

I buy Mauser actions, parts, micrometers, tools, calipers, etc. Specifically looking for pre-WWII Mauser tools.
