Got a hankering to rechamber/rebarrel my .30-06 BLR to .338-06. Is it feasible? How about dies, will I need Small Base dies to reload, and if so are they available. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks-Karl

Hi Karl. I see no reason why you couldn't rebarrel a BLR from 30-06 to 338-06. The only differance is the bullet diameter. As for small base dies, do you need them now? My BLR is in 358 Win, and I've had no need for small based dies yet. Perhaps i just don't shoot it enough. Take care - Dan

The 338-06 will work just fine in the BLR and standard dies will be fine too. It would make kind of a neat rifle. Regards, Bill
