Does any one know the actual weight of a Win Model 70 Featherweight stock?? I'm thinking about making some changes to a rifle and one is maybe a synthetic stock. Anyway, just curious if any one out there has actually taken the time to weigh the stock.

According to our shipping scale, the one we have weighs 1lb 13oz.

My M70 Featherweight stock goes 1lb 15 oz., but that is with a 1" decelerator...I, too, wish for a little weight reduction...I have looked long and hard at the Banser and the Brown Precision...can't make up my mind...and not too great a weight-savings, anyway...Let us know how it all turns out...Arthur
