I use Kerosene. Goto www.brownells.com and type in "screwdrivers". _______________________________________________________________________________ This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend, it is my life.

Lighter fluid works well. Kerosen is probably fine too... The deluxe set from Brownells is a great changeable tip set... for straight screwdrivers I just bought a set of Galazan Screwdrivers and they are just fine. Got the hardwood block stand for them, and when I got them all set up before I took them down to the shop, my wife even said, 'damn, those are NICE' Makes ones soul feel good! The brownell fixed blade are pretty good, and the Grace stuff is also, but none of them hold up like the Galazan stuff.

Kerosene is OK. Mineral spirits, too. Personally, I use Simple Green cleaner, found at hardware and building supply stores. The green stuff is non-flammable and much easier on the hands than petroleum products. I also have a section of 6" PVC pipe, plugged at both ends with Red's solvent mixture for soaking the really nasty stuff. Google "red's solvent" for formula. Mike Ryan - Gunsmith

Mostly I use odorless mineral spirits. It's cheap and leaves a little oil behind. John Farner If you haven't, please join the NRA!

For screwdrivers, I have the Brownell's set, along with the one Midway sells, the Wheeler. The two sets cover most all of the bases.
