Kirby, the guy who owns the company only lives about 3 miles from me. I have spoken to him on the phone and we keep trying to get together but it has never worked out as yet. He takes a trip each year and buys the wood in Turkey. He also visits some other european countries on his wood buying trip. It is pricey wood but pretty spectacular also.

Gotta drop by sometime soon.

If you are building a $15K rifle, it certainly deserves at least a $1500 piece of wood.

IMO.

I think this is a good piece of advice. For the half a dozen guns like this built in the world annually I agree with this philosophy.

However with a little shopping I fully believe one can find some $1500 wood for $500.
