Anyone familiar with this rifle? I can't seem to find much info on it.

Appears to be surplus Mauser action, yet with no surplus markings. Bolt shroud is plugged where original safety would have been. Tang safety, hinged bottom metal, two leaf rear sight, hooded front sight (hood missing). Light colored, checkered stock, modified by poorly adding a Pachmyer recoil pad (nothing major to fix). Bore perfect, caliber .308 Norma.

Opinions, info, warnings, etc?

I own a Voere "Cougar" in .300 Win.Mag. It is a nice light weight rifle. It is one of the better 98 Mauser conversions. It also has a set trigger converted from the original military trigger. If you are interested in selling, drop me a line. jjoh258677@aol.com

Thanks for the info Bubba John.

I saw this rifle at a local gunsmith's shop on Friday while picking up some other work. He's selling it on consignment at what I think is a very reasonable price. It's been on my mind all weekend, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to go buy it today.

Never enough rifles...
