| I had my Browning S/S done by Briley in Houston. The Job comes with 4 tubes of your choice. First class work. $400.00 more or less and worth it. |

| It is possible if the barrel walls are thick enough. Some of the old doubles had very thin tubes and are not suitable. Send you gun to someone like Skeets in Tahlequah, OK, or some other specialty outfit. Briley probably does this, too. Good Luck. |

| Much thanks, I think I'll look into getting the stock on my Winchester Supreme cut to fit me better rather than put $400ish into a $225 pawn shop coach gun. Was a good thought tho.

| Carlson's in Atwood, Kansas, will do the job for $199, which includes five tubes, a pair of choke wrenches and return shipping. They added tubes to one of my target guns and had it back in seven days. |

I've got an 12ga coach gun that I would like to have altered for screw in chokes. I read somewhere that this is possible. Is this a fairly easy thing for a smith to do and does it usually produce good results? The gun is fast and fits me well but I'd like the option of a Mod/Full combination instead of the IC/Mod that it is now.
thanks, Ian
Try calling Mike Orlen (413)256-1630. The last price I saw from him was $35 to $50 per tube (plus Shipping). He'll need to know both ID and OD at the muzzle to see if there is enough metal to thread for the chokes.

| Now that's a price I could live with... I'll give him a call.

| Just called him, cost is $35 per tube for tapping, $15 for each choke tube and $10 return shipping. He said there is a thin wall tube just for applications like this.
Thanks again, Ian |
