SDhuntervalue CZ 550 American stock
Simple question,
I purchased a used CZ 550 American rifle. When I received the rifle the stock had been cracked and bolt poked through the box and gouged up pretty good.
What's the stock worth? I am just going to ask him to send me a partial refund on the rifle to get it back to the like new advertisement.
Opinions anyone.

WillCall CZ and ask for replacement cost. I think most are about $250 but I could be wrong.

Same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. Brand new 527 in 22 Hornet. Called CZ USA and they said to send in back for repair, which I did. In order to lighten the load, a kept the bolt, magazine and rings. Lo and behold, about three weeks later a complete new rifle showed up at my doorstep. I now have an extra mag, bolt and rings.

SDhunterCz states replacement is $215. I was just curious last night as CZ was closed at the time.
FedEx has already been contacted and they are going to pick up the damaged goods tomorrow.
I imagine it will go through their inspection process then the shipper will get reimbursed for the damages. Then I imagine I will get compensated from the seller.
I was going to sell the stock anyway, the American doesn't fit me. I bought the gun for the action and was going to part it out.
I already had a hogback stock and a different barrel(338-06)to screw on.
We'll see how it all turns out. I just can't imagine that FedEx is going to easily pony up the money, even after they see the cracked stock and scraped up bolt knob.

jeffeossounless the shipper got extra insurance, FEDEX will kick out $100 and that will be that.
good luck!

SDhunterI think the gun was insured for the selling price.
We'll see. I'm being a realist about this situation, and from all the horror stories I've read, that's the best approach.
