McMillan Edge Stock bedding?

My edge stock has finally turned up for my Remington Model 7 & looks great. What sort of bedding is required to ensure the rifle shoots to its full potential? There already seems to be some thin aluminium pillars so maybe a skim bed might suffice. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

correct on both counts...should have pillars, just skim bed and fire.
