Ray plese read my earlier post on this subject.
I have read that both Lyman and Williams sights are made of aluminun these days. Are they POS or do I need to look for used. Thanks for details. DAN

Dan,
The Williams is a perfectly suitable Reciever sight and will last a lifetime..the Lyman exhibits some inability to hold zero as it will jump with heavy recoiling calibers I have been told....The Wichataw model sold by Brownells will hold its zero and is a tough sight.

Both are aluminum now according to Brownell's.

On Ray's recommendation I ordered the Williams -- also the Lyman has a QD feature that I can't imagine ever needing, but that I can imagine coming off when not intended.

Of course the Williams was the one item in my order out of stock. :-(
