What's a MKX Magnum action worth?

ramrod340What's a MKX Magnum action worth?
Well I find myself with a couple of magnum MKX actions. I was thinking about selling at least one. My old boss, ffl dealer and buddy said he might be interested and asked the price. I quoted him a price and he said he wouldn't pay that because he felt it was BELOW market and would only pay market price not a buddy price. So I need some market info.
It is a Magnum MKX action. It is the old style with the release lever in triger bow. The trigger was a non-adjustable and has been replaced with a Bold. I can't remember if it has the speedloc or not. I would call the metal 95-98%.
So any input on a fair market price would be appreciated.
As usual just my $.02

KabluewyWhen you say "magnum", are you saying that the bolt face is Magnum, or are you saying that the magazine box is 375 H&H length as well?
I just sold a standard bolt face, mk x action for $275 buddy price.

fla3006I sold an early style 7mmMag Interarms Mark X rifle with crappy scope on this forum about a year ago for $225 but I suppose that was sorta like a buddy price. Since I still find superior FN Deluxe/Supremes for around $350, $300 is probably a fair price for the Mark X.

I'll offer you that right now sight unseen!
No haggling!!!!!
The cost of replacing it with a Mil-surp revised is far far more than that.

z1rA dealer I knew in CA was clearancing them for $250. He wanted to get rid of them. Realistically, that was a low price. $350 to $450 seems to be the going price depending on where I see them selling.

ElCaballeroYou can buy the whole rifle for $350 or the action only for $350. When that makes sense let me know!

22WRFI just purchased one brand new (in the box would you believe) about a year ago for $350.00 (old style with release in the bow, no trigger. It now has a A @ B .300 winnie barrel and a Timney side safety on it if anyone wants to buy it)
You need to know whether you are getting the magnun action. 2 things. First, of course it will have the magnum bolt face, and second, it will have the small cutout on the rear of the front ring. If it doesn't have the small cutout on the front ring its not the magnum action.

ramrod340Thanks for everyones input. Showed him your comments and we agreed on a price which allowed him to pay me $100 more than what I offered to sell it at.

He was happy and I'm sure I can find a way to spend the extra $$
