YEEEEEEHAAWWWWWWW!

Got an email from John Ricks that the ChromMoly LH Long action
from Montana Rifle Compnay was delivered to him.

Now, I can look forward to both right and left handed 404 Jeffery rifles. Can't wait to get these two rifles to ScrollCutter (Roger).

Waiting is always the worst part!

Rusty,

Congratulations. I hope you'll post pictures of the finished products. How'd you arrange for them to ship directly to John?

BTW these are different projects from the Mannlicher-stocked guns, right? Who'd you have do the stocks on those?

Steve,

I arranged it with MRC to have the actions shipped directly to John Ricks.

These two rifles will have Lothar-Walther magnum sporter contoured barrels. The stock blanks I purchased from Robert Watts at WattsWalnut

The blanks and barrels are at John's. John will be doing the stocking. If he doesn't have time, then we will farm it out.

Hopefully the rifle will look much like the above Mauser 98.

Both are designed to be iron sight rifles.

The right hand is mine and the lefty is for a gift for a friend.

As soon as I get pictures and quit drooling over them, I'll post them.

I received my LH stainless short action weeks ago, but without the bottom metal. I just called MRC and the bottom metal was due in today at the factory. Coincidently it was due that day when I called on the 17th also. And I just remembered that it was due in the factory Friday the 10th when I called them on the 8th.

They're rolling, I recieved my LH Chrome Moly a couple of weeks ago. Now I begin a new waiting game for Kreiger and McMillan to deliver their parts, it's a good feeling, this anticipation.
