I'm building sort of a beater gun. Putting a take-off barrel on a Turkish Mauser, 308 cal. Wondering what might be a decent yet not too expensive set of iron sights. Just planning on shooting mil surplus ammo. Looked at some receiver sights in Brownells, what do you think of them. I do not currently have an iron sighted bolt gun so of course I gotta have one.

Williams or Lyman, maybe Brockman too. I've used Williams on several rifles. Your pick.

I happen to have a Foolproof (from Brownells) that I just took off a Mauser, and a Remington (I think) take off front ramp. (Not sure if I have any beads, though) If interested in making me an offer, email.

The Receiver sights are good sights and the NECG classic express or the express are favorites of mine..the new NECG adjustable front sights are mighty handy also.
