Duane WiebeI had this rifle in my shop and got to look it over close up...workmanship, design and application were beyond reproach.
The checkering is 18 LPI, While this can be laid out with a power tool, Ralf uses hand tools..just feels more at home with a hand tool

Jim KobeI believe that Ralf had made those tools for the "flat top" checkering. He had them on display at last year's ACGG show.

22WRF"........he told me who he uses for the engraving, but I can't remember his name."
On his website he says its Warren Smith.

MHC_TXThat is correct Warren Smith did do the engraving.

Bill LeeperA power checkering tool in the shop would have likely caused Martin to have an apoplectic stroke. It was several years ago that Martin was demonstrating to Ralf and I the making and use of his hand tools. Ralf obviously learned real well. I, on the other hand, feel fortunate any time I use any sharp tool and avoid personal injury!
Great stuff. Regards, Bill.
