If you reload, I would recommend a 22-243 middlestead. It will get all there is from a 22 cal varmit gun. Most swift's and 22-250 do not have the barrel twist to shoot anything over 60grains. this gun really shines with 69-75 grain bullets. Makes it better on windy days.

Yea! What he said! got to be one of the best wildcats ever! just crys for a 27 or 28 inch 1/8 twist!

I have a 220 swift, a 22-250 AI and a 22-6mm with a 1:7 twist. Personally the 22-6mm is my favorite followed by the 22-250AI. The 220 swift takes too much effort with neck reaming and triming compared to the others. This cartridge is neat but a reloading PIA. No flies at all on the 22-250AI. Not much difference in accuracy in any of them (all <.5 inch 100yrd guns)until the wind blows, then the 22-6mm slow twist with 80 gr bergers wins hands down. I can get 3600fps from the 22-6mm and the groups it produces at 600yrds are absolutely phenomenal. I looked at the 22-243 Middlestead but felt that the 6mm had more case volume. Many a california Ground squirrel and coyote have gone to the happy hunting ground as a result of this cartridge. Of course if you want more speed the 22-6mmAI is even better I hear.

Take your pick, one is the equal of the other...I'd take the standard 22-250 myself, but I still shoot the 222, it will last many more rockchuck seasons and if I miss a rockchuck or any varmint because the range was to long, I will probably live through it..I shoot at them offhand any way, so I am used to missing..but it keeps me in DGR practice...
