ElCaballeroBRNO ZKK 600
What exactly are these? Is it pretty close to a 98 design? What length are they? Will a 375 H&H fit without to many modifications?

new_guyThe 602 is the long one, and IIRC... the 601 is the short one and the 600 the standard length.
They are a combination of an M98 with M70 style ejector (through the bottom of the bolt), M70 style bolt release, third lug, no guide rail on the bolt and "backwards: safety. Don't remember if they are C ring or H ring...
BRNO ZKK's...601, 600 and the 602's are of a Mauser design however unique enough that the parts don't interchange. Very short tang and a great double square bridge. The 600 is the standard action for 30-06 base cartridges. Action length 8.625", 43 oz, receiver diam 1.340" ....reference Frank de Haas
p. 223. It's unsuitable for the magnums like the 375 H&H, 416 Rigby, 458 Win. However, it's big brother, the ZKK 602 is! These are the precedsors of the CZ 550's mag's. Castings are a little rough however will polish up and make a great custom gun. Ed Lapour makes a 3 position safety and Jim Wisner a 602 drop box floor plate. If you need any more info pls ask away.

ElCaballeroSo I am assuming a 375 Ruger would work in the 600? What are the threads like? Are they ala Mauser or the CZ crush fit or whatever?

they sold 7mm mag in the 600, though oddly they made 300 win mags on 602's, so yes a 375 ruger would fit.
the breeching is a full c-ring but they have deep receiver rails and the mag box fits inside like a pre-64 model 70
