I have a older German BSA that I cannot remove the bolt w/o the use of a dental pick. It is a very nice rifle, just that I have always had to use a dental pick to remove the bolt.

Does anybody know how to remove the bolt?

I'm not quite sure what a German BSA is. BSA was/is Birmingham Small Arms, a British Firearms manufacturer. There are a couple of BSA actions, the Royal/Majestic and the Monarch.

To remove the bolt on the Royal, open the bolt, pull to the rear, depress trigger and the bolt will come out.

On the Monarch, raise the bolt, pull back halfway, press forward hard on the trigger, hold the pressure and withdraw the bolt. For the life of me, I can't figure out what the dental pick is all about, or what a German BSA is. Confused
