I copied the formulas for contouring a barrel off a piece of paper and converted it to a spreadsheet that does the calculations automatically. All you have to do is enter the diameter of the cylinder, length of the contour and the large diameter of the barrel and it tells you how long to make the steps and what diameter they should be. I tried it out on a barrel this morning and it worked fine. Anyone interested in a copy of the spreadsheet, let me know. I will try to remember to convert it to excel 2003 for those for you who do not have the most recent Microsoft package.
