Thinking about building a 7mm WSM on a Remington 700 action...

Hey, need some advice here.

1st question - worth the effort?

I owned a Boone & Crockett M700 short action 300WSM a number of years back, but was less than impressed. Nothing against the M700, just the feeding issues etc.

I got to thinking the other day. If one was to:

1). Fit a Sako Style Extractor
2). Install a Wyatts extended mag box

How would this conversion do (along with open up bolt face and mag rails.

Or go for something like a Montana controlled feed which they do for short mags.

I like the M700, heaps of after market parts, plus an accurate action. Looking at building something light weight.

All thoughts appreciated.

Michael.
