Okay, here are my dimms. 4.770" tall by 1.690" thick. I know I need overhang for the proper angle at the bottom, but how close to the edge do I want the internal insert? The small will give me almost a half inch overhang at the bottom, and .182 of clearance from the insert to edge of cross section.

The small size pad overall cross section is still thicker than the stock, so that is not an issue. It's all about the insert. My gut is leaning towards the small so I have more clearance edge to edge for the insert. I do know that if the insert is too close to the edge you can screw up the pad by grinding too much. What do you guys think?

Go with the small. The metal insert for the small pad measures 1.315 wide x 3.77 long. Using a pad like that you are going to have to be very careful on how you center the ribs. You don't want the ribs crowding the toe.

To clarify which portion of the pad and hole I am referring to for these next set of measurements, I will simply call it the "heel" and the "toe". Big Grin

On the heels end of the pad, the distance from the center of the hole to the edge of the metal insert is approximately .480 inch. On the toe end of the pad, the distance from the center of the hole to the edge of the metal insert is approximately .400 inch.

Add a .050 safety margine to each of those measurement and mark the pad with a pencil so you can plan where to place the pad in order to avoid stacking those ribs at the toe. Good luck.

Got the small yesterday, installed tonight. Fits like a champ! Now I know why the screw heads were so jacked up on the old pad, it is kinda tough gettin those screws in! But, I did not jack these screws up. They went in clean. Anyhow, thanks for the info.
