joughinCZ550 416Rigby to 460Weatherby
No doubt you have seen a post on here about it before but I couldn't find enough info on it. I'm selling my 458lott as I want more velocity and I don't want to go the 500A2 as the .510 bullet selection isn't as versatile as the .458.
What exactly needs to be done other than getting another barrel? Does the stock need reinforcing other than 2 crossbolts and bedding?

MasteriflemanYou could always go with the .450 Rigby. That way you can neck up your current brass, use .458 bullets and have within 5-10% of the capacity of the .460 Weatherby. As far as needing more strength, I would think you'd need to put an auxillary lug on the barrel, like the CZ in .416 R has. Another possibility would be to have your .416 barrel re-bored and rifled to .458.

jeffeossoeasier to open the bolt face, get a 416 rigby follower, and rechamber the 458, to either 460 webby or 450 rigby.
