Hi guys I have an old T. Barker 12 guage , double barrel, exposed hammer shotgun ... it's basically a wall hanger ...but it has a broken lever spring ...I was wondering if they made a universal type lever spring that I could file down and hand fit ... I replaced one once on my old parker , and the part needed final fitting .. I have the pieces , so one could be duplicated, but I'm trying to not have to make one from scratch Thanks, Bob DRSS Chapuis 9.3 x 74 R RSM. 416 Rigby RSM 375 H&H

Dixie Gun works used to sell about 50 types but I have not looked for those in a few decades now. But no, there is no universal one.

It's trivial to make a new one. At one time Galazan sold some toplever springs made of thick wire stock that were supposedly generic. But the spring usually has to have a lug on it that goes into a slot in the tang.
