Remington 7600 safety for lefty

I thought this would be a nice quick rifle for me but the safety is a problem since I just about have to dismount the rifle to get the safety off. I know at one time, there were some 760's floating around that had left handed safeties.

Does anybody know of anyone who sells a part or can convert my safety to left handed? I am considering selling the rifle at a loss if I cannot get this done, as I've missed a couple of quick shot opportunities due to the safety!

Check Brownell's. They don't list one under the Remington parts, but if you e-mail their tech service, you might get a lead. I just converted two Browning Auto-5's and a Browning 22 Auto to LH safety operation. Brownell's had the parts and advice on the installations.

Using the right hand cross-bolt safeeies is a PIA. I have had one of the Auto-5 for 44 years and just converted it last month. Wonderful change.

Good Luck.
