MOA, I used to work at the local Gander Mountain and we had a guy with the same problem. I think his was an ADL in .30-06. The "3rd ring of steel" in the Rem action, the bolt snout, had broke off. The little ring in front of the extractor. Not real impressive to say the least. We told him to send the whole thing back to Remington. He didn't buy it from GM, he was just looking for opinions, ideas.

MOA-- They'll have to have the whole rifle because a new bolt will have to be fitted. Welcome to the new world of "quality" control.

Belk is right...the whole shebang has to be returned. My experience with Remington customer service is that they will fix it fine...just be patient. During hunting season you'll be lucky to get your gun back in 2 or 3 months... Sorry but that's what you are looking at...its called adjusting you expectations in the sales world...
