Question:
The majority of the time whose fault are they usually?

Choices:
The person using the rifle?
The rifle itself?

I must have missed this thread when it was initially posted. Just went back and looked at any topics that lead you to believe they are concerned about "Feed Issues" for the month of December and here is what I found:

M70 CRF 18Dec05
https://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/9411043/m/833106783

M70 CRF (modified?) 19Dec05

M70 Classic 21Dec05

M70 PF 21Dec05

Seems strange each thread would begin in a 4-day time period. Some might be Christmas gifts to themselves and are just taking posession of them. Perhaps seeing the mention of Feed Problems on the Board brought the others forth.

Of the four M70s, it appears the CRF rifles have the "worst" feed going.

No Browning, Mauser, Remington, Ruger, (exploding)SAKO, Savage, Stevens, Tika, or Weatherby rifles complained about with Feed Issues during this time period, just M70s.

CRF actions, when set up properly, are extremely reliable. When they aren’t...they ain’t worth a damn, but neither are most other things mechanical.

I am also of the belief that CRF actions are far more sensitive to ammunition peculiarities than are PF actions.

For all of the hoopala over Model 70’s they do seem to have more than their fair share of problems in getting them to shoot accurately and to function properly and reliably, and not everyone has the time or the money to send their’s off to D’Arcy Echols.
