What is the best approach to removing a bbl from a Savage 110. Has had the barrel replaced.

Just need to pull it and send it to be threaded by someone I really trust.

Have a barrel vise and a brownell's type action wrench (with a Mauser top). Can make another top if necessary.

Will need to buy headspace gauges.

Thanks!

Mike

Pretty sure you'll need a barrel nut wrench also, but those with more knowledge might be able to make it work with what you already have. Directions on midwayusa under the Wheeler barrel nut wrench section work okay, but probably other ways to accomplish the same task...

Get a barrel nut wrench from Sharp Shooters Supply. You will need it and a barrel vise to remove the barrel.
