Okay lets start a threat based on the design of bolts/bolt-handles(Eg=one piece,if not just how they are fixed on) getting around these days(Also add oldies, cause they are usually goodies).

This is what I know(Or I think I know) Roll Eyes .

# Kimber(84M/8400) handles are threaded into the bolt-body.

# CZ(CRF type) bolts/handles are of one-piece(Billet of steel).

# Sako 75/85 """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""(Cast then machined).

# Remington(700) bolt-knobs are braised on.rest is of one-piece?

# Browning(A-bolt) bolt-handle braised onto bolt body?

# H-S(PHL etc)"Bolt-handle machined with 360degree ring,silver soldered to the bolt-body"Quote H-S cattledog.

# NULA(Latest models) bolt-handle braised or silver soldered to the bolt-body?

# Weatherby Mark V(USA & Japanese made) forged & of one piece design.

# Tikka(T3) two piece.

# Sauer(202 & 90 etc) one piece design,but I'm not 100% on this.

These are just a few(off the top of my head),so please correct me if needed.

PLEASE ADD MORE Cool .

PS-This info may come in handy(your next purchase),as I have heard of bolt-handles coming off from time to time Eeker .Pretty rare but it does happen!

savage- held with screw, user can change it, several different handles are available as replacements.

CZ 527- handle is a seperate piece, can be removed when bolt is stripped (I think it has to be removed to strip the bolt). Calhoon makes an altered replacement for more scope clearance. I think the factory replacement is less than twenty bucks (? don't quote me) if you want to alter your own.

maybe the same deal on the CZ 452 rimfires.

the new Thompson/Center bolt action looks like it has a user-replaceable bolt handle.

The Remington 700 bolt has a separate head with the locking lugs that is pinned on to the body.
