I am trying to determine what length to chop an Enfield 45 ACP barrel down to. It will be for a Commando Carbine project I am working on. I may use a slower burning powder like blue dot and load it to the max, what is the best length? 8", 10", 12"? For those who care, a ported barrel extension will be welded in place to make it 16.25" overall barrel length. Thanks.

If you are looking for max velocity then I would just leave it at 16.25". You can always load them slower if you want.

for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside

You most likely would have to get well over 20 inchs may 30 inchs before you would start losing any velocity.
