Just looked at your site and it looks like you might really need this stuff right away!

Here is someplace that might be helpful:

http://www.turningwood.com/sources.htm

Sorry but I don't have the time to browse through it to pick out individual places.

Here is a page that has it listed though:

http://www.eisenbran.com/cbSearch.asp?Description=Macassar%20Ebony

Hope that helps!

I've bought it off eBay. Brownell's sells it now. Houston Hardwoods sells it (713-686-6176). You do nice work. The Brno 602 is especially nice.

Well fla3006 had a good suggestion, this one ends in about 7 hours, but I don't know if it is what you are looking for specifically, nor what the final cost will be:

Wow, thanks for the quick replies. Brownells dropped the ebony the used to carry. Rockwells doesnt have the sizes I need (its so expensive they cut it into thin stuff for boxes, pens, inlays etc) But the Ebay thing I'm off and running. I have bought all kinds of stuff on Ebay and never thought about wood1 Go figure, you've been a great help.

Last time I got ebony from Brownells it was stamped "Hillrose Designs". They are listed under Vtgunsmiths.com.
Maybe they still sell it?

Check out www.e-wood.com . It is the ebay for lumber/wood. There was this listing; pobably not what you need for your immediate use.
