These guys have been running an add in Gunlist for quite a while now...it's a commercial Mauser with hinged floor plate, three pos (M-70) safety, adj trigger etc in forged nickel steel and available in .338 mag and .25-06 barreled actions for $400 and in a synthetic stock for $450.

Has anyone tried this gun?????

SAVE YOUR MONEY ! < !--color--> You'll get much better quality with a NEF Handi rifle. I bought one from Alex Imports about a year ago. I too was intreaged with all the features the rifle has, (Straddle floor plate, adj trigger, 3 position safety, double sqaure bridges). The problem is, it's all JUNK ! the trigger feels like it came off an old Savage, The floor plate swings from side to side almost as much as it goes up and down. The safety is much like a Winchester M-70 except the middle position doesn't have any "feel" to it. You don't know if it's engaged or not. The finish is as rough as a corn cobb. I can't tell you how it shot because I was honestly too scared to fire it I bought the 338Winmag and it had a pencel barrel on it.



Badboyz and Savage99, that's not the rifle. The one Alex sells looks very similar to a Legacy Mauser.
