CZ .375 to 404??
Can a CZ .375 be converted to .404 Jeffery with a rebored barrel? And be made to feed.. ALL the time?

Would it need CZ's .404Jeffery magazine box?

I know CZ makes a .404J but its only in the custom line to much $$.

Any unusual problems with this conversion, and could most any competent gunsmith make the conversion once the barrel is rebored?

Or wouldd it take a feed and function wiz make it feed?

allen,
the 404 cz was 1500 bucks, walk out, when it was released.

if you built your 375 to be an copy, including sights, you are looking at 200 for the barrel, 200 for the sights, 400 for install and at least 100 for bluing, and probably another 100 for fitting to your stock... or about 1000 bucks... and this is not for any custom work, and no real feeding, if required. you would probably be closer to 1400 if you wanted it any time soon.

but, if you sold your 375 for 800, you would only need another 7-800 to get the cz 404.

I was thinking about picking up a CZ in .375 for $750.00 the going rate here.
Rebore it (jim Dubell) cut a new chamber and feed work.

I'm gathering up parts for a custom 98 in .404J. But to do it right will take some time and $. So for the intrim thinking of converting a CZ.

The factory Cz in .404J is running about $2300.00. To much for my purpose.

ahh, yes, a very good plan. jim can rebore it to 404 and you'll have it, and the 404 reamer will clean up the chamber...

dennis olsen is the best on feeding, but he's buried
