Mauser 98 Extended Rings

I have a M98 that I need to mount extended rings on so I can move the scope back further due to my long LOP.

I used Warne Weaver style bases because they were the only ones I could find that had a rear base that could fit a Mauser with a rear charger hump in place.

I then used some quick disconnect Weaver extended rings (well on the front) to get the scope back.

The problem is that the rings center the scope off the center bore. I guess I could just sight in and compensate for this, but I'm OCD.

Does any make extended rings that work besides Weaver?

do you need both rings to be offset?

Does Warne make an extended front base like Weaver (#402 or s402)? would that be enough?

Warne does make front extension bases.

Millet makes extension rings in their angle-loc series for weaver style bases.

Another option is a one piece rail from EGW. They have 3 screw ones that fit over the charger hump.

Do you want/need weaver style bases? Leupold makes turn in bases that fit an un-modified Mauser. Then you can get their extended turn in ring set.

OK - I found Warne's extension base on their website. I need to measure mine and see if it gets me enough extension. They have 2 lengths, so I think so.

Now just need to find where to get them. Midway nor Brownells carries the extension rings.

.
If memory serves. What you want is a Weaver #45 rear a Weaver #402 extension front and probably a set of high, Weaver extension rings. That should set your scope back 1 full inch.

Try SWFA for the Warne base.
