69deerK4 hold up to sluggun recoil?
Any thoughts if a Weaver K4 would hold up to the recoil of a sluggun recoil?

458WinIf it's an older steel Weaver it should hold up very well.

69deerThanks, I didn't know if the recoil would ruin it.

JBrownI am often full of BS, but I think the recoil from a 12ga slug is overrated.
I just shot 1oz 2 3/4 slugs for the first time today and I don't think recoil was that bad. And my 870 has a plastic buttplate. Felt recoil was far less than a 375 and nowhere near a 416 or 458.
I really can't see the slow recoil of a shotgun being any problem for a scope.
I guess I should not talk too tough, I was not shooting 3 inch magnums.

MarkBack in the day I shot a zillion slug rounds from an old H&R with a K4 with no problems, I say go for it.
