I have a sporter barreled Ruger 77 and this rifle has had trigger problems since day one. I inherited the rifle. Am looking to pass it on to my son, but want to fix it first, and want to do it at home so I know what is wrong with it. When the bolt is cycled, it will not re cock itself. I have replaced the trigger and the sear from the ones with every Ruger rifle I own ( 12 of them) and still the same problem. The trigger and sear out of this rifle also, will do the same thing when put into another rifle. I just think the tolerances on this trigger and sear are too far out of specs and that the receiver may be at fault also. Any suggestions besides return it to Ruger? Cheers and Happy New year. seafire

Send it back to Ruger. They will put it back to factory specs. "Some people can not live without wilderness."- Aldo Leopold
