I am trying to find some 45-70 snap caps and have had no luck so far. Can anyone provide a source??

Would .410 snap caps work?

Take a deprimed case and squirt some RTV silicone into the primer pocket, enough so that it flows into the interior of the cartridge and leave a bead on the case head. Let it cure and trim the excess flush with the case head. You just made your own snap cap.
