the only 2 triggers I have had problems with this year have both been Timney. Jewels are just too pricey....I'm installing Shilens and giving thema try. I hear Ed Brown is using them...thats quite an endorsement.

I've had good luck with the Bold Optima on my Siamese Mauser 45-70 and on my VZ 24 30-06 project.... I've been having some trouble with the Timney on my Argentine Mauser. That trigger was made in the early 90's..... Jasper243

I had problems with a timney on a scratch built swedish mauser. Spring tension on the sear while retracting the bolt was way to stiff, the set screw that locks the trigger assembly in place was not located proberly, and overall bad fit/design for a swedish mauser. I bought a Bold Trigger and it fits and works way better..
