I need the recommendation for someone that can replicate the blue finish on a pre-64 model 70 barrel without overpolishing the metal. I have several of my own rifles that need a touch up now and again. I would like to know someone that does supurb rust blueing as well as the type of black finish originally found on British sporting rifles. I appreciate your assistance on this matter.

I would trust either of the above.

Another excellent source is Bill Adair. But if was made after WWII he won't touch it.

Not to hijack your thread, but I've never been certain whether the original p-64 barrels were rust blued or hot-caustic blued. Do you guys know which method was used on these?

Thanks!!
