Easy Mike, KurtC has that one for sale here in the AR classifieds.

Not that I disagree......

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

I wouldn't put it quite like z1r but, yes, it's screwed up. If you'll notice the front reciever ring has a "dutchman" in it where that humongous dovetail was cut for a claw mount. That's a deal breaker for me.

Being an Redneck ex-mechanic, its close enough for me. If ya cain't use it, well.....

But, at least KurtC did fully dislose this in his ad unlike a lot of unscrupulous sellers, kudo's to him!

If GunBroker had a category for "Doorstop," I would have listed it there.

However, someone who knows how to weld, heat-treat, case color, etc., might have a use for it. It's a good way to experiment without screwing up a $500 action.

...and there is always the option of having an original 1946 Czech door stop..... Cool

KurtC,

I know you would have. As you say, it has worth to the right person.

Again, it is refreshing to see an honest seller!

This really needs to be a category over on GB. Big Grin I'll be the first to use it.

To make up for the action, I've also posted a really nice Brno stock that may have once held it. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
