Is it possible to rebarrel a Model 98 Mauser currently chambered for 6mm Rem (rim diameter = .461) to a cartridge with a smaller rim diameter like a .204 Ruger (.378 rim diameter)?

If so, what would that require?

Possible; yes. Feasible; no. You have to weld up the bolt face and re cut it and weld up the extractor and fit it. then you have to figure out the magazine.
Get an action made for the 223 head diameter.
