Has anyone fit a 3-pos safety to a Christensen Model 14 action? Will a Gentry/LaPour/PTG meant for a Rem 700 fit this bolt?

Just returned from hunting in southeast Alaska with a Christensen Ridgeline and had hell's own time with the bolt opening while moving through brush, slung up. Almost had to keep my hand on the bolt the whole time to keep it closed through the thick stuff.
