Does anyone out there have a picture of a walnut stock with a light color maple forend tip that actually looks nice? I know ebony is traditional and best or no tip at all but I'm curious.

Not maple but light. There is a reason most of us like black/brown/red tips.

I have had good results using black walnut for fends + grip caps on a Birdseye maple stock.
