I am looking for a push feed bolt with a .473" bolt face. Need the one with the anti-bind slot. It can be the long or medium length.
I have a 243 WSSM, with all the attendant problems with scarce brass and ammo. I plan to shorten the bolt to match the super short action and rebarrel to 6mm BR. The action will feed the BR with no problem and should make a great lightweight deer gun for the recoil conscious.

Thanks for looking.

Contact Pacific Tool and Gauge, they most likely can provide what you are needing. Just a suggestion.

I think they only make Rem 700 and Savage bolts. Model 70 bolts would he very low demand items.

Maybe your existing boltface could be sleeved and extractor modified to required size.

Oh, sure, I didn't read what you wanted to do; just solder a bushing in the bolt face; I have done it.

I have done this also, but I would like to keep the original bolt original, just in case.

Numrich has .223 ones and magnums in stock; you could either open up the 223 or bush the magnum, but that one would be for a long action. $106.

The .223 bolt would be usable, if a '06 bolt face does not come along. The length doesn't matter because I am going to have to shorten whichever one I get to the length of the super short action.

If you look at the pictures of the different bolts on Numrich's website, the super short bolt is relieved on its lower surface so they could call it controlled feed. This is unnecessary for feeding, just marketing. To my mind this will complicate bushing it, and I don't want to mess it up.

I already have more in this orphan than I want, and no one is interested in taking it off my hands. Thus I have to do SOMETHING.
