Don't lighten the sear spring, but do lighten the trigger return spring. Also you can lighten the main spring, by 1.25 to 1.5 coils removed. I've done a couple hundred triggers, and use a 6" x 2" fine india stone with a guide to keep the sear level. If you get under 18oz they will have a tendancy to bounce off when the action is slammed shut. I recomend 2 3/4 to 3 1/4# for most shooters and for the expirianced shooters 2 to 2-1/2.
Mine is set at 22oz for cowboy action, but I wouldn't do anybody elses like that for fear of litigation.
