What options do I have for improvement or replacement of a trigger on a Marlin MR-7?? I'm pretty sure the gun's discontinued. Surprising because the design looks to be very well thought out. The receiver is shaped like a Remington Model 7 so I'm hoping I can use the same aftermarket triggers as Remington if the Marlin's trigger is unworkable.

The Marlin trigger is a knock off of the Winchester, same rules.I just polished the surfaces, but left the factory weight for my son,<4#.

Just looked at A MR7 the other day in the used gun rack at the local dealer. Until I read "Marlin" on the barrel, I thought it was a M70. The M70 style trigger is probably the least complicated, most easily adjustable one ever designed. Amazing how something so simple can work so well.
