I have not used iron sights for over 30 years and I can barely see the front sight on my Ruger. I only want iron sights for backup and am looking at the white bead.

How do I determine what height to buy? They come in .330 to .435. If I shoot it like it is now, I'll probably miss the paper!

Thanks

I'd shoot the Ruger and verify the POI w/ your chosen load. Then remove and measure the factory bead height.

Purchase the NECG bead height to duplicate or correct the POI of the factory bead. Not only do they come in the five different heights, but they also come in .098"-White bead, .098"-Fiber Optic bead and the New .060"-Fiber Optic bead. I do not like using fiber optic beads w/out a hood for protection, but they stand out well.
