A buddy of mine has a 338RUM Sendero with a JP Howitzer brake. Through the bore scope it looks as if there is just about as much cracking in the last 1/2" of bore (next to the brake) as in the throat. Is it possible that the brake is a contributor to the cracking of the bore at the crown and accuracy deterioration. The rest of the bore looks pretty good. Have any of you guys ran into this before?
