Lee, I too can post them for you.

BTW, I'm a Cruces boy as well. Nice to see a local face (or handle, or words, or whatever...)

INteresting and great pictures!!. note the scope rings are unique, with screwheads down?

Also note the bolt comes out of the middle of the side panel. a bit different. Also note the sleek left side with no detent for the sako/mauser/MRC style bolt release. Sleek.

ALso note the fantastic tulip fleur de lis.

Nice rifle.

How long did you wait, and how much does it weigh?

thanks for sharing.

Congratulations on a very fine rifle.

I am puzzled by one thing on this rifle, and that is the bolt knob. I have looked at hundreds of photos of Miller Rifles, and also have looked at a couple of his rifles in person, and this is the first time that I have ever seen one of his classic rifles that has the original syle knurled bolt knob. Usually his high end classic rifles will have either a 4 or 5 panel checkered knob, but I believe that he leaves the knurled knob on his Marksman Rifles that have the laminated stock.

Also, for anyone interested, that scope mount is milled out of one large piece of round steel and is custom fit for one scope and one scope only.

I'd say it's a Marksmen in Walnut.

I never thought of that, but now that I look at it I would be inclined to agree with you as I believe he uses a more rounded floorplate on his Classic Rifles and uses the floorplate shown here on his Marksman Rifles. Also, I have never seen a photo of one of his Classic Rifles that used a Fluted Barrel.

Still a very very fine Firearm!!!!!

Lee,
You got ANOTHER ONE??? Did your first one get lonely? Fantastic rifle. The partial view of the grip cap is driving me nuts. Looks like a nice original touch. Do you have a better view of it, please? Good to see you around and kicking.

Number 1, thanks for posting them chuck. I have not weighed it but it shoots small groups. It is okSmiler
Custom, I will take some more closeups of the cap, and see if I cant get them posted. There are so many fine details that they are hard to show in jusy a few places. I waited almost 3yrs to the day for this rifle. It is a 300wby marksman in wood. I wanted something a little different. His classic rifles use an octagon barrel. If you do a search for David Miller rifles. My Previous post was with a classic, and then you can see the difference. Thanks everyone for the kind words, and I will see if I cannot take a few better pics to show..Custom, I do not have the other classic as there was someone who offered me over twice what I paid, therefore, he is now the proud owner.I only had that one for about 6 months..

I am very impressed with the sharpness of the photos. At what dpi were they scanned?

Rootbeer,

I have a Leica digilux camera, and it is set on 1120 X 820. They were not scanned, but taken directly from the camera. I sent a few more pics to doug with even more detail if he chooses to post...

Beautiful rifle. Post more pictures when you can.

As to Imagestation I still have an account there but when the software changed over here on AR Imagestation makes a red X as mentioned.

On top of that Imagestation lost most of my pictures and when I complained they said that their site does not allow posting to forums and that my account would be cancelled if I did!

I use http://imageshack.us/ now but http://www.tinypic.com works here and no registration is required.

If I had a Leica digital and a David Miller I would try to learn how to post pictures on the forum. It seems complicated at first but there are very good directions here and we can help you work it out.

All that I can do, so far, is to take pics in VGA resolution with my pocket camera. Even that is satisfying to me.
