Will 6mm Rem feed in a 30-06 action

Have a mauser 98 action set up for 30-06.

If I change the barrel to 6mm Rem will it feed from the magazine?

If not I guess I'll go 25-06, looking for a varmet gun.

The 6mm Rem body taper is that of the 7X57. Unless someone goofed up the rails it should feed better than the 30-06. You should get a few rounds of 6mm and try it.

Been there, done that. Mine feeds slicker than snot on a door knob.
